Kuwaiti On A Death Row Commuted To 15 Years Jail For Murdering A Bedoun

The Court of Cassation upheld the verdict issued by the Court of Appeals, which sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to 15- year imprisonment with hard labor for murdering a Bedoun man in Sulaibiya area using a firearm.

According to the case file, investigation report stated that the defendant committed the aforementioned crime and fl ed the scene. After his identity and location was established, he was arrested. He was sentenced to capital punishment – execution – by the Criminal Court after he admitted to the crime before the detectives and the Public Prosecution. However, the Court of Appeals commuted his sentence to 15 years in prison.
