Kuwait Will Hold An Environment Week From 6 To 12 March

The Environment Public Authority (EPA) said on Friday that Kuwait will hold an environmental week from March 6 to 12 each year to educate Kuwaitis about environmental and natural resource protection. ....

Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Chairman and Director General of the Environmental Protection Agency, said in a press statement that the environment week would include a variety of activities such as workshops, planting, and awareness-raising events, among others.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his hope that participation in the environment week activities by all segments of society would enhance people's environmental awareness.

He further said that the Environment Week festivities will kick off next Sunday with a visit to Al-Jahra Natural Reserve, where he would plant a variety of seedlings in celebration of the occasion.

He stated that the week's theme will be "protecting it begins with you."
