Kuwait Ready To Defend Cases Filed By Teachers
Chairman of Fatwa and Legislation Department Judge Salah Al-Misaad affirmed that the government will deal with any attempts aimed at filing cases against Kuwait, its government domains and financial establishments, indicating that it has not yet received any case concerning expatriate teachers, reports Al-Qabas daily.
In response to reports that several expatriate teachers have decided to file their grievances with the International Court in Geneva, Judge Al-Misaad revealed about a team of lawyers, consultants and members of the Fatwa and Legislation Department which is ready to defend Kuwait in foreign and international arbitration quarters.
He said, “Many of the lawsuits filed against Kuwait were ruled in its favor, especially those pertaining to the sovereignty of the state, its constitution and legal domains, in addition to reparation of public funds from any civil and criminal lawsuits”.
