Attendance Of Employees In The Government Sector Was About 60 Percent On The First Day Of Ramadan
In the midst of exchanging congratulations and conciliations as well as discussions about political, social and sports affairs; the rate of completing transactions is low as the holy month of Ramadan began, while the attendance of employees in the government sector was about 60 percent on the first day of Ramadan, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Nonetheless, the transactions were easily completed due to the low number of visitors.
In the ministries of Commerce, Finance, Justice and Social Affairs; there was calm compounded with the exchanges of greetings while the employees focused on commodity prices and weather conditions, as well as travel plans after Ramadan.
At Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), student impetus was noticed as it coincided with beginning of exams; while professors warned against absenteeism. Clients at the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) continued to face difficulties, because the rate of congestion increased massively.
Several clients who went there to modify their names ensured early arrival at around 8:00 am to book a place on the queue before the employees arrived.
According to official government sources, those who are absent from work without any valid reason will be punished and referred to the legal affairs departments of the concerned ministries and institutions. A number of officials recently inspected the working conditions and monitored the commitment of staff in various departments
