Kuwait Arrests 282 Expats In Crackdown Across The Country

To enforce the Residency and Labor Law, the Residence Investigation Department has conducted extensive security operations in various regions, resulting in the arrest of 282 expats. Khaitan, Hawalli, Al Dajeej, Kabd, Brayeh Salem, Salhiya, Mahboula, Fahaheel Markets, and Farwaniya were targeted in the crackdown.

Key units of the General Administration of Residency Affairs Investigations carried out the rigorous inspection campaigns. Among them were the Research and Investigation Department, the Control and Coordination Department, the Financial and Administrative Services Department, and the Tripartite Committee.

The joint efforts led to the identification and arrest of individuals who violated the Residency and Labor Law. Among the establishments targeted during these operations were two counterfeit domestic labor offices and an illicit massage center.

Apprehended individuals will now be referred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and due process. Through this decisive action, the government demonstrates its commitment to maintaining the integrity of residency regulations and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
