Government Sources Told Alqabas: The Situation Doesn't Call For A Lockdown

21 December 2020 Coronavirus

High-level government sources revealed that the health assessment and indicators so far do not warrant the application of the ban. The sources explained to Al-Qabas that extending the period of closing the ports in the country beyond January 1 is possible according to the results of the health situation in Europe. The head of the Government Communication Center and the official spokesperson for the government, Tariq Al-Muzrim, announced the suspension of commercial flights to and from Kuwait International Airport, and the closure of the border, land and sea ports from 11 pm today, Monday, December 21, 2020, until the end of Friday, January 1. This comes, in light of the health repercussions of the new chain of Corona virus, which began to spread in Britain and the countries of Europe.
