Government Initiates Review Of Academic Certificates For Employees
Government agencies are actively engaged in the process of reviewing academic certificates issued post-2000 for employees, according to informed sources cited by Al-Rai newspaper. The review encompasses the validation of high qualifications attained by government employees either before their appointment or during their tenure.
The sources clarified that this comprehensive review and audit will encompass all academic certificates issued by local or foreign educational institutions. This includes graduates from Kuwait University, local private universities, certificates from private local institutes, and those issued by external entities, all evaluated according to official frameworks.
While specific measures in response to instances of fraud or forgery have not been officially disclosed, it is suggested that punitive actions may involve termination of employment for individuals found guilty of falsifying qualifications. Additionally, they may be required to reimburse any funds received based on falsified credentials.
Furthermore, the examination aims not only to ensure the integrity of educational certificates held by government agency employees but also to establish a new database for these qualifications. This database will serve as a foundation for future business evaluations.
