Following Allegations, MoH Acts Against A Cosmetic Clinic

An order has been issued by the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, to close a cosmetic clinic in the private health sector, suspend a doctor from work, and refer him to the Medical Liability Authority.

In response to allegations regarding the performance of a cosmetic procedure on a girl, this action was taken. A press statement released today highlighted the Ministry of Health's commitment to monitoring and ensuring the safety of health services in accordance with medical regulations and principles.

In addition, the ministry stressed the importance of adhering to professional ethics and morals. The decision to close the dermatology and cosmetic clinic in question and suspend the doctor is a result of recommendations made by a technical inspection team that was formed to investigate the alleged incident. According to Law No. 70 of 2020, which governs the medical profession, supporting professions, as well as patient and health facility rights, the team identified several violations.
