Farwaniya Police Have Arrested A Gang Of Egyptians Who Specialized In Stealing Electric Cables

The Farwaniya police have arrested a gang of Egyptians who specialized in stealing electric cables, reports Al- Rai daily quoting the Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry. Police have also arrested two Iranians for buying the stolen cables from the Egyptians and recovered the cables from the shop. The daily quoting the department official said the arrest came after several reports were received by the Farwaniya police about the theft of the cables. Following complaints the police intensified patrols in the affected area and saw the door of one of the power transformers in the area open and some people were at work. Police stealthily approached the men and saw them removing the cables. Seeing police the men tried in vain to escape by they were pursued and arrested. During interrogation the suspects admitted to stealing the cables from Al-Andalus, Station M; Al-Nahda, Sulaibikhat Station C; Al-Nahda Sulaibikhat Station D; Al-Nahda, Sulaibikhat Station E; Yarmouk, Yarmouk Station A; South Surrah, Al-Sadiq station; Ardhiya Residential Area, Ardhiya C, and Sabah Al-Nasser, Sabah Al-Nasser Station D and Al-Jahra, Al-Qasr Station M.
