Electricity Loads Touched The Record

25 July 2021 Kuwait

The electric load index recorded a remarkable increase yesterday, with a figure of 15160 MW, approaching reaching the highest load recorded in the history of Kuwait, which is the figure of 15200 MW.

Informed sources in the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy attributed the high loads to the high temperature, which ranged between 49 and 50 degrees Celsius, in light of the significantly lower humidity rate, compared to last week.

The sources expected that the index would continue to rise this week, especially after the resumption of official working hours, expecting that the loads would record record numbers this week.

She pointed out that the water consumption rate continued to exceed the production rate, by a difference of 10 million imperial gallons, and to compensate for the difference from the strategic stockpile, which amounts to about 4 billion imperial gallons.
