Egypt Man Burns Down School After Fiancée Fails Exams

It is alleged that a young man in Egypt burned down the school where his fiancée attended because she failed her final exams.

According to local media, the accused was arrested in the Menofia governorate.

According to the El-Santah police station, the Gharbia Security Directorate was alerted that a fire had broken out at the Kafr Salem Al-Nahal School for Commercial Education.

With the help of civilians, Civil Defence was able to put out the fire before it spread.

Authorities claim that the man blamed his fiancée's academic performance on the school. He set fire to the school in retaliation and then fled to his hometown after committing the crime.

There were no deaths or injuries reported.
