Crowding At Govt Institutions Begins To Reappear
With the successive stages of returning to normalcy, crowding that had disappeared or decreased significantly during the Covid-19 pandemic has begun to reappear, reports Al-Rai daily. Citizens and residents saw a return to paper transactions in some government institutions, amid fears of the government returning to the routine paper work to complete transactions and losing the advantages of the online services adopted during the pandemic. In this context, sources stressed on the need not to do away with the achievements imposed by the pandemic in terms of facilitating transactions without going in person to government institutions, ministries and service centers. A number of officials, visitors and employees told the daily they believe that resorting to electronic transactions during the pandemic organized the work of ministries, reduced crowding and chaos, achieved speedy completion of transactions and shortened time and effort for many citizens and residents.

In the meantime, Director of the Security Media and Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Tawhid Al-Kandari, said all ministry sectors will continue to provide “online” services to facilitate the citizens and residents to complete their transactions easily and smoothly, which now takes minutes and can be done from anywhere in the world. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry stressed that all services provided by the ministry to the public online since the outbreak of the pandemic will remain ‘online’. Deputy Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamad Al-Omar, said that the Chamber will continue with the online services even after the country returns to full normalcy saying the online service has proved effective and saves time and effort and the same goes with the Public Authority for Industry say the sources, The director of the psychological services at the Ministry of Education, Huda Al-Haddad, talked about the advantages of the pandemic which were many, the most important of which is that the pandemic organized the work of the ministries and helped get rid of overcrowding and lack of coordination while completing transactions which was the order of the day in the past.
