Court Sentenced Expat Taxi Driver To 3 Years Prison For Swindling A Young Man

The Court of Cassation has overruled the verdict of the lower court and sentenced an expatriate taxi driver to three years in prison for swindling a young man of special needs Kuwaiti, reports Al-Qabas daily. The suspect reportedly took advantage of the mental state of the plaintiff and took KD 15,000 from him to ‘get’ for him a university certificate from abroad, on the strength of a promissory note. The plaintiff also bought seven smart phones and gave them to the defendant.
