Camping Ban Stays – Remove Your Tents
The Ministry of Health has rejected the recommendation to allow spring camps this year in order to protect citizens and expatriates from coronavirus, especially in areas where families and youths gather frequently, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting a reliable source. In a related development, Kuwait Municipality confirmed that the decision to ban camping remains in effect as per the recommendation of the Health Regulations Committee.
It called on the owners of tents or camping sites to remove these structures before the bulldozers demolish them, as the inspection teams have intensified their efforts to remove illegal structures and ensure strict compliance with the decision.
According to the Municipality, the inspection teams have so far demolished 168 camping sites – 102 in the North and 65 in the South; in addition to impounding three motorcycles. It urged the camp owners to fully abide by the decision to ban camping this year to curb the spread of coronavirus and guarantee the safety of everyone.
