650 Stranded Indian Nurses To Return To Kuwait

12 June 2020 Coronavirus

Informed health sources revealed that 350 male and female nurses stranded in India will arrive in the country today, 300 others will arrive tomorrow, according to the instructions of the Minister of Health Dr. Basel Al-Sabah and Under Secretary Dr. Mostafa Reda.

The sources told that these returnees will work in health facilities according to the needs of public and field hospitals operating in the face of the Corona pandemic, according to a plan in this regard.

The ministry provided them with housing in Jaber Al-Ahmad for a period of two days, until the results of the laboratory smears that are conducted for them after their arrival at the airport appear, pointing out that they will be accommodated in their original homes after ensuring that the results of their smears are negative.

The coordination with the Indian authorities is what led to the return of the stranded nurses, who took their leave and left Kuwait before the crisis and got stuck in their countries.

Contacts are underway with a number of other countries to return medical, nursing and technical cadres to Kuwait during the coming period, after these countries agree to return their nationals from these cadres.
