50 Residency Law Violators And 20 Individuals Wanted For Various Civil And Criminal Offenses Were Arrested

Some 50 residency law violators alongside 20 individuals wanted for various civil and criminal offenses were rounded up across the six governorates of the country within 24 hours in a campaign launched upon directives from the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs in the Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, says Al-Seyassah.

A security source said officers from Ahmadi governorate apprehended a Kuwaiti woman defaulting KD 41,000 loan from a local bank. She was referred to civil execution department. Officers in Mubarak Al-Kabeer also nabbed a citizen involved in KD 52,000 case, and another citizen absconding 4-years jail term for drug-related offense.

A Kuwaiti man was taken into custody by officers in Fahaheel area in possession of shabu, hashish and related tools after the officers discovered his involvement in a debt of KD 7,000. A citizen was apprehended in Farwaniya area in connection with KD 14,000 financial case, with another person owing KD 16,000, in addition to five individuals wanted for debts ranging from KD 400 to KD 1,000, while security operatives in Jahra governorate arrested 8 people for financial and criminal offenses. Meanwhile, public securitymen apprehended 8 residency violators in the Capital, alongside 22 people in Farwaniya, 15 in Ahmadi and 10 in Jahra for various civil and criminal offenses. They also nailed 5 residency violators and referred them to concerned authorities for necessary action.

In an unrelated story, Public Security Men in cooperation with Kuwait Municipality raided a parking lot in Ahmadi area and confiscated fruits, vegetables plus other foodstuffs displayed for sale, and arrested 8 hawkers.
