4 Expats Have Been Deported And 13 Juveniles Have Been Referred To Prosecution For Driving Without License
Four expatriates have been deported and 13 juveniles have been referred to the Juveniles Prosecution for driving without license.
The suspects were arrested during surprise security campaigns in all governorates. During the campaign police also issued 34,757 traffic citations.
According to the General Traffic Department last week 52 vehicles were impounded and 12 persons were arrested. Meanwhile, the Public Prosecutor Consultant Dirar Al-Assousi has referred the issue of ‘touristic’ treatment to the Criminal Court.
The Public Prosecution has accused six doctors, some of them senior officials, working for the Overseas Medical Treatment Department of the Ministry of Health for depriving deserving patients from receiving overseas treatment.
The Prosecution has requested the court to severely punish the culprits because they deprived the deserving sick people of their rights through manipulation by submitting fake documents.
The court has accused the three officials of the Ministry of Health of embezzling public funds and forging medical reports of 20 patients to facilitate their travel with their companions for medical treatment at the expense of the Ministry of Health in addition to paying for their travel and making them eligible for other benefits illegally.
The Public Prosecution in its petition said the felony of ‘touristic’ treatment is linked to another crime in the form of forgery of official documents, using duplicate forged seals and signatures and manipulating the reports of medical committees.
