3 Officials Suspended In General Directorate Of Civil Aviation
State Minister for Services and National Assembly Affairs Mubarak Al-Harees suspended three officials in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and formed a committee headed by the Fatwa and Legislation Department to investigate these officials for failure to perform their duties, which caused the State losses estimated at millions of Kuwaiti dinars.
The source told that the suspension of the employees came as a result of the DGCA’s loss of KD 8.5 million as per a judicial ruling. He said these officials are suspected of failing to provide the Fatwa and Legislation Department with the documents related to the case before the concerned court issued its ruling.
The source revealed the suspended officials include an assistant undersecretary, a department director and section head who will be summoned soon by the Fatwa and Legislation Department for investigation.
The source stressed that Al-Harees does not tolerate wastage of public money. “There is no place for laggards and anyone who neglects his duties will be held accountable regardless of his position,” the source added.
