100 Successful Surgeries Performed By Jaber Hospital's Women's Oncology Unit In Six Months
With over 100 successful surgeries performed within the past six months, Jaber Hospital’s Women’s Oncology Unit has marked a significant achievement. This achievement reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing the highest levels of specialized healthcare.
Dr. Wafa Al-Wissan and Dr. Nura Al-Ibrahim head the unit, which specializes in treating breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer among other types of female cancers. To track sentinel lymph nodes, the team uses the latest surgical techniques, robotic surgery, and fluorescent dye labeling.
Known for its comprehensive and individualized treatment programs, the Women's Oncology Unit caters to the needs of each patient. This includes chemotherapy, nutritional support, psychological support, and post-cancer recovery. The program is designed to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.
Furthermore, the unit has established a "post-cancer recovery clinic" to improve the health and quality of life of cancer survivors. Breast cancer survivors are especially welcome at this clinic, which is staffed by specialists in women's health, obstetrics, and gynecology.
Jaber Hospital's head of the Women and Motherhood Department, Dr. Manal Jaber, expressed the significance of this achievement, stating, "The success of the Women's Oncology Unit reflects the hospital's commitment to providing the highest and most advanced levels of healthcare." In addition to providing modern and innovative healthcare services to our patients, we are proud to do so.”
A comprehensive approach to cancer treatment and care is provided by the Women's Oncology Unit at Jaber Hospital, guided by the latest medical protocols and specialized expertise.
