Work In Open Areas Banned During Summer; 40 Violations Recorded On Day 1
On the first day of the restriction on working in open spaces from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. from June to August, the Public Authority of Manpower (PAM) initiated a surprise inspection campaign at open worksites in southern Abdullah AlMubarak.
Inspection teams visited 50 sites and found 40 infractions, with 32 individuals working on the premises during the prohibited hours.
"If a violation occurs, the company will be notified, given a grace period, and the jobsite will be inspected again." If the infringement continues, legal action will be taken, with fines ranging from KD 100 to KD 200 per worker levied against the employers." Head of the Occupational Safety Department of the Public Authority's Jahra Governorate, Hamad Al-Mekhyal.
He emphasized that the authority is concerned about worker safety without harming projects or the interests of their owners, saying that owners can adjust working hours in the early morning or after 4 p.m.
