Woman Under Probe For Forging Documents
An unidentified woman has been referred to the Public Prosecution for forging documents and acquiring two citizenships (Kuwaiti and of an unidentified Gulf country) under two different names, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to a security source, information was received by the Nationality and Passports Investigation Department and accordingly an arrest warrant was issued against her.
The source added the woman was seized and referred for interrogation when she arrived at the Nuwaiseeb border post. The source added the woman was confronted with possessing the Kuwaiti nationality and as proof was shown a copy of her Kuwaiti passport and her nationality certificate in addition to the Gulf passport which she introduced upon entering the country.
The source added with regard to the irrefutable evidence presented by Nationality Investigations men to the woman she admitted that she holds dual nationality and uses the Gulf identity to move around because she is wanted by law in connection with financial cases.
Moreover, she added, she has a travel ban in her Kuwaiti name. When asked how she got the Kuwaiti nationality, she said her father did this about two decades ago and that she does not know how her father, who holds a Gulf citizenship and not a resident in Kuwait, did that
