Uae Interpol Arrest Kuwaiti In Abu Dhabi, Man Wanted By Law For Trafficking In Unlicensed Arms

The UAE Interpol based on a request from its Kuwaiti counterpart is said to have arrested a Kuwaiti who had escaped from the country and settled in Abu Dhabi after the arrest of members of a ‘cell’ earlier this month, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspect was wanted by law for trafficking in unlicensed arms and ammunition and possessing 325,000 rounds of ammunition and a quantity of weapons which were found inside a truck in a livestock pen.

According to security sources, the suspect is the mastermind of arms trafficking network and his name and detailed information about him came during interrogations by the State Security police with members of the cell which was busted recently by the police. A Kuwait security team has left for the UAE to extradite the suspect and refer him to the Public Prosecution.
