The New Pm Must Rectify Previous Governments' Errors
In a statement, MP Fayez Al-Jomhour criticized the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to stop issuing permits for Kuwaiti public sector employees to pursue higher education. Asserting that the decision is unjust, Al-Jomhour urged CSC Chairperson Mariam Al-Aqeel to reverse it to ensure the above-mentioned citizens have a bright future.
Hamad Al-Matar, chairman of the parliamentary Education, Culture and Guidance Affairs Committee, revealed that the committee will meet with representatives from the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs and senior officials next Wednesday at the Ministry of Social Affairs. Financial support for disabled nurseries will be discussed in order to determine the reasons for the delay. Some nurseries were forced to close due to the delay, which exacerbated the suffering of guardians of the disabled.
Khalid Al-Otaibi, a MP, said the new prime minister must rectify the mistakes of previous governments. For reforms to be implemented, the path must be changed rather than the names. Dr Nasser Al-Sayegh, a researcher at the US Patent and Trademark Office in the US Department of Commerce, was also welcomed by Deputy National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Shuhoumi. According to him, Kuwait has an abundance of qualified researchers who contribute to scientific advancement.
Along with Mechanical Engineering Professor Ammar Bahman at Kuwait University, Al-Sayegh was granted a patent for inventing a machine to diagnose Nanoplanktons in nanofluids. Switching to advanced thermal fluids will contribute to the development of energy and desalination plants.
Additionally, Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al- Ghanim sent greetings to Colombian Chamber of Representatives President Jennifer Arias and Senate President Juan Diego Gomez on the occasion of Colombia's National Day.
