Scores Of Expat Employees Have Been Arrested For Violating Residence Law

During a crackdown on popular markets, the General Security Department of the Ministry of Interior in cooperation with the Kuwait Municipality is said to have seized large quantities of subsidized foodstuffs and fruits and vegetables unfit for human consumption, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, scores of expatriate employees have been arrested for violating residence law. It has also been reported a big number of shoppers and salesmen ‘abandoned’ the market to evade arrest.
