Recipient Of Mail Informed Via Whatsapp At The Moment

The Ministry of Communication said it will soon float tenders for the collection and distribution of mail after the contract with the company that was carrying this task ended on Nov 30, 2019 and the new tender that was floated did not materialize because the winners of the tender withdrew following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a clarification received by Al-Qabas, the ministry said that the tender for collection and distribution, which at the moment is done by informed the recipient via WhatsApp message to come and collect their mail will be floated in the near future.

In the interest of the Ministry to keep pace with development and improve the quality of the services it provides, short and long-term plans have been drawn up, and work is underway to implement them, and “we hope to achieve a qualitative leap in the provided postal services,” said a note from the ministry.
