Professional Certificates Will Be Issued By Pam
In collaboration with the Society of Engineers, the Public Authority for Manpower will begin the validation of certificates for 71 professions in engineering, architecture, and agriculture, as well as supporting engineering professions.
According to a local Arabic newspaper citing sources, the procedures would not only include the certification of certificates but will also include completing exams in certain specializations and professions as part of an effort to screen out marginal individuals from the job market.
The tests will cover a wide range of vocations and specializations, according to the sources, including "interior designers and engineering draughtsman working in the electrical, civil, and mechanical domains."
Meanwhile, according to data released by the Public Authority for Civil Information, there are 30,000 non-Kuwaiti workers registered in the private sector as technician-assistant experts in natural sciences and engineering professions, compared to only 310 Kuwaitis.
In this regard, the head of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, Faisal Al-Atl, emphasized the importance of sharing the experience of certifying non-Kuwaiti engineers with all professional societies in the country and exchanging expertise in this area.
The daily has discovered that a number of senior positions at PAM will be vacant in the coming weeks due to the expiration of many of their contracts.
According to sources, four existing directors, one of whom is a woman, have been shortlisted for the position.
