Olympic Council Of Asia And Tissot Extend Their Partnership With The Asian Games
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Tissot have exercised their right to extend the partnership with the Asian Summer Games. For the two Asian Summer Games, the biggest event of the OCA, Swiss watchmakers will continue to provide expert timekeeping services.
Their partnership began in 1998 with the first Asian Games jointly organized by Tissot and the Olympic Council of Asia. As one of the oldest and most prestigious events in the calendar of the Olympic Council of Asia, the Asian Games themselves date back to 1951. Thousands of athletes from 44 nations and territories compete every four years at the Games, which consist of 46 sports. Sports traditional to Asian culture, such as wushu, sepaktakraw, and kabaddi, are featured alongside traditional Asian sports like basketball, swimming, and cycling.
Aichi and Nagoya, Japan, will host the Asian Games in 2026, and Doha, Qatar, in 2030. Without Tissot, the OCA would not be able to hold the Games without the many athletes, officials, and volunteers supporting them.
CEO Sylvain Dolla of Tissot stated that "the Tissot spirit is perfectly reflected in the Asian Games by its diversity and remarkable changes.". Our precision timekeeping skills will be on display at such a memorable event. We can also verify the quality of our watches through it. The Asian Games have already used our services in the past, so we know and understand what it takes. However, as with all of our watches, we aim to bring even more precision and innovation on every occasion, and to keep improving this essential component, that is so important to the success of the Games."
Swiss watchmakers Tissot have made watches since 1853. Only our passion for performance and precision can match our commitment to craftsmanship and quality. We've pioneered products including the legendary Tissot T-Touch which made headlines and history. Solar energy and connected technology ensure privacy with the innovative Tissot T-Touch Connect Solar watch. The watch demonstrates our long-standing reputation as innovators. We provide timing systems for a number of professional sports teams and athletes out of our passion for sport. NBA and FIBA in basketball, Giro d'Italia and La Vuelta in cycling and MotoGPTM in motorsports are a few examples of relying on Tissot as their Official Timekeeper. The quality, authenticity and excellence of our watches are appreciated by our customers, who appreciate our commitment to innovation and tradition.
