No One Above Law – Moi Officer Forced To Vacate Chalet

01 July 2020 Lockdown

No one is above the law’ and this applies to everyone. In implementation of this principle, security men recently forced an unidentified officer working for the Ministry of Interior to vacate the chalet which he had rented, cut off power supply and referred him and his guests for interrogation.

According to a security source, the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received several complaints that ‘someone’ had rented a chalet was causing disturbance — the music was blaring and those inside the young men and women were behaving unruly.

The Ahmadi Security Directorate was informed and a security force was formed containing personnel from the Coast Guard under the supervision of the Director of Security, Major-General Saleh Matar, and his assistant, Brigadier Walid Shihab.

The security party headed to the chalet and discovered the chalet was leased to an officer in the Ministry of Interior and the occupants were forced to evacuate immediately. In coordination with the concerned authorities the lease contract was cancelled and power supply disconnected and summoned the officer and others for interrogation for violating public morals.
