A new service to Nepal's Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA), operated by Kuwait's leading low-cost airline Jazeera Airways, connects the large community of Nepalese expats living in the Middle East and Europe to the south-west area of Nepal.

In response to high demand for travel to Nepal's Terai plains, Jazeera Airways has started its second service to Nepal. On May 15, 2022, flights will commence to Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA).

According to Rohit Ramachandran, CFO of Jazeera Airways, the airline is expanding its network to serve expatriate populations who are often under-served on direct flights from other countries. The new service allows Nepalese to reach the Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) using the service, which is more convenient for them to reach that part of Nepal.

Tourists and pilgrims can also take advantage of this direct service to Bhairahawa, the birthplace of Buddha.

Gautam Buddha International Airport (BWA) is about 270 kilometers west of Kathmandu.

It will depart Kuwait at 18:30 and arrive at Bhairahawa (BWA) at 01:45 am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays starting May 15th. Leave Bhairahawa (BWA) at 02:30 am on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Mondays to reach Kuwait at 05:15 am.
