Mp Cancelled All Car Rental Contracts Signed By Ministries

MP Waleed Al-Tabtabaei called for cancellation of all car rental contracts signed by ministries and other government institutions for the benefit of ministers and other officials including undersecretaries, assistant undersecretaries and directors. He pointed out the government has repeatedly announced its plan to rationalize public spending but until now nothing has been done. He stressed that rationalization of expenditures should start with public officials rather than ordinary citizens.

On another issue, MP Omar Al-Tabtabaie has forwarded queries to Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Mohamed Al-Faris about fake academic certificates. He wants to know the decisions taken by the investigative panel tasked to look into forged certificates, studies and reports of the Higher Education Ministry on ways to address the problem, total number and work places of those referred to the Public Prosecution for holding fake certificates, and discovery of forged passports among faculty members at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) if any.
