Mosal Said Any Expat Collecting Donations Will Be Deported From The Country
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor said any expatriate who is caught collecting donations without the approval of the concerned authorities, will be deported from the country.
The daily added, the citizens who are caught for the same offence will have security restriction slapped on them. The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor is said to have shared its concern in this regard with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs especially after it was discovered some mosques collected donations illegally.
Sources added in spite of laws and regulations being in place, illegal donations continue in the name of sending relief to affected areas, construction of mosques and wells, etc.
The Ministry pointed out a committee has been formed comprising personnel from the ministries of Social Affairs and Labor, Awqaf and Interior and the Kuwait Municipality. The committee is expected to begin work in all governorates particularly by monitoring mosques and industrial areas which are outside the scope of monitoring role.
