Moi: We Monitored 7 Sites For By-elections Yesterday
Yesterday, Saturday, the Ministry of Interior said that it had spotted 7 new sites in which by-elections were held, or the so-called consultations, in violation of Article (5/45) of Law No. 35 of 1962 regarding the elections for members of Parliament and its amendments.
The General Administration of Security Relations and Information in the Ministry stated that the concerned security agencies had previously monitored, during the past weeks, a number of sites where by-elections or the so-called consultations were held, and all legal measures were taken in this regard.
The department indicated that the ministry will take all legal measures decided in this regard, including violating the decisions of the health authorities and referring the case, including the facts and participants that have been monitored, to the Public Prosecution.
