Ministry Of Social Affairs And Labor Plans Concessions For Employees’ Working Hours
The Financial and Administrative Sector of Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has decided to make some concessions for the ministry’s employees in terms of their official working hours, reports Aljarida daily.
According to the decision, the proof of attendance will be extended to 8:15 am instead of 8 am, and the proof of end of the working hours will be 2:15 pm instead of 2 pm for the female employees, and 2:15 pm instead of 2:30 pm for the employees working in ministries complexes.
The decision was taken in consideration of the lack of parking space for majority of the employees, as well as for them to avoid traffic jam and alleviate the burdens they face.
Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Information System Affairs in the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Sabikha Al-Waqyan said the commission is currently coordinating with Borders Department at the Ministry of Interior to complete the automated link for the entry and exit of employees in the governmental sector, affirming as well that work is underway with the Ministry of Higher Education to finalize the automated process to detect forged academic certificates using the ‘QR code,’ reports Al-Jarida daily.
She also announced a new mechanism for accessing e-signature in the complementary systems.
In her interview with the daily, Al-Waqyan talked about the installation of smart kiosks for the issuance of ‘To Whom it May Concern’ certificates in governmental bodies as per the number of staff.
In the meantime, the Program Planning and Follow Up Department in the Electricity Distribution Network, in cooperation with the Electricity Transmission Network, has started operating the secondary power station that supplies electricity to the Public Institution for Social Security (PIFSS) in Jahra, reports Alrai daily.
Head of the unit tasked to oversee the secondary power station Eng Abdullah Shah said a team from the department operated the secondary station supplying electricity to PIFSS in Jahra. He disclosed the station consists of four power transformers with capacity of 1,000 kilovolts.
