Ministry Endeavors To Launch Vaccination Campaign With Gradual Return Of Students To Schools
The Minister of Education Dr. Ali Al-Mudhaf chaired the meeting of the joint committee between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health this morning. The Agenda of the meeting was to discuss the proposal for a gradual return to schools for the second semester of the academic year 2020-2021, Al Rai daily reported.
During the meeting, Al-Mudhaf stressed the Ministry of Education’s keenness, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, to follow all health standards and requirements in order to ensure the safety of students, educational and administrative staff, and school personnel.
He explained that the Ministry of Education is working to take appropriate decisions regarding the gradual return to school attendance plan, in addition to its endeavor to launch a comprehensive vaccination campaign at the beginning of the second semester.
For his part, Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Development and Activities, Faisal Al-Maqsid said that during the meeting, the plan for returning schools was reviewed by the Ministry of Education, and many health requirements were set in the event of a gradual return or continuation of the distance education process.
