There are around 1,141 inbound and outgoing flights throughout the holidays, with an average of 114 inbound and departing flights every day.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) made all necessary preparations prior to the Cabinet's decision on Sunday, February 20 to restart travel movement for all and allow citizens, residents, and non- vaccinated guests to enter the nation, according to Al-Qabas daily. On Thursday, the DGCA issued a circular restricting admission to Kuwaitis solely for the unvaccinated and those who had not received the required doses. After nearly two years of ban, it later changed its circular and permitted all residents and tourists to enter the nation, exactly like citizens.

In addition, the authorities in charge of Kuwait International Airport have made the required preparations to ease incoming and departing traffic, aligning with the date set for allowing everyone to travel and removing restrictions.

According to an official source at the airport, commercial flight traffic will see a significant boost next month, in keeping with the progressive opening of travel routes. The growth in movement is contingent on operating airline requests, particularly because these decisions will have significant implications for the air transportation market and the mobilization of the travel and aviation sectors. The operating agencies from the DGCA, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, General Customs Administration, and ground services companies are fully prepared to receive arrivals and facilitate departure procedures based on a logistical plan designed to manage passenger movement from the time they step off planes until they leave the airport gates, in accordance with health requirements.
The source emphasized that the operational agencies have been diligent in checking the essential devices, equipment, and operating systems over the past few days, and that field teams have been assigned to work around the clock to monitor flight operations.
