A junior Kuwaiti doctor must save his full salary for about 55 years in order to buy 500 square meters land in the most expensive residential area in Shuwaikh in the Capital Governorate where the value of such land is about KD1.08 million; while the average monthly salary of a junior doctor is KD1,500, reports Al-Rai daily based on the results of a study it conducted recently.
The study showed that the consultant doctor — whose salary is KD6,000 maximum — needs to save his full salary for about 14 years to buy the same land; while the Kuwaiti junior teacher and engineer should save their full salaries for 69 years as the average monthly salary of a Kuwaiti junior teacher and engineer is KD1,200.
