Kuwaiti Defense Minister Affirms Readiness To Boost Army Capabilities
On Wednesday, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah emphasized the political leadership's commitment to enhancing Kuwait's armed forces' capabilities comprehensively.
Sheikh Fahad made these remarks during a ceremony at Kuwait International Airport, where two Caracal helicopters were officially received.
These new helicopters represent the final delivery in a series of 30 aircraft that Kuwait contracted with Airbus Helicopters in August 2016. Of these, 24 helicopters will be operated by the Kuwait Armed Forces, while six will be utilized by the Kuwait National Guard.
The ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Kuwait Army Chief of Staff Air Marshal Bandar Al-Muzain, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikha Dr. Shamayel Ahmad Khaled Al-Sabah, Commander of the Kuwait Air Force Air Vice-Marshal Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, among others.
