Al-Zour Refinery Fire Brought Under Control

Ali Al-Ajmi, the official spokesman for the Kuwait Integrated Petroleum Industries Company (KIPIC), confirmed today that a fire that erupted in a storage area within the Al-Zour refinery has been successfully contained.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Ajmi extended his appreciation to the General Fire Force teams for their swift response and efficient efforts in collaboration with KIPIC teams to contain the fire promptly. He emphasized that their combined efforts ensured no injuries occurred and there was no loss of life.
Regarding the refinery’s operational status, Al-Ajmi assured that production and export activities remain unaffected despite the incident. He underscored that the fire had no impact on the refinery’s workflow, affirming that all necessary measures were taken to maintain operational safety and continuity.
The statement from Al-Ajmi comes following the incident earlier today, highlighting the successful containment and minimal impact of the fire on refinery operations.
