Kuwait's Comprehensive Security Campaign Targeting Residency Law Violators
With the expiration of the extended amnesty period for expatriates to rectify their residency status in Kuwait, the Ministry of Interior is set to launch a comprehensive security campaign targeting residency law violators. The amnesty, which was granted for over three months, allowed violators to either leave the country or amend their residency status by the end of June.
Security Campaign Initiation
In line with the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the security campaign will commence at dawn on Monday, focusing on areas known for gatherings of violators. Assistant Director General of Residency Affairs Brigadier Mazid Al-Mutairi emphasized that no violator will escape after the deadline expires, and the campaign will cover all governorates with clear instructions to maintain firmness and avoid leniency towards those who failed to regularize their status despite the extended opportunity provided by the Ministry of Interior.
