Kuwait Airways Plans To Buy 5 Aircraft By 2030

01 November 2023 Kuwait

Kuwait Airways' chairman, Abdul Mohsen Al-Faqan, announced the national carrier will purchase five Airbus 350As and Boeing 777Fs by 2030 to strengthen its cargo division.

The decision regarding expanding air freight in the company as well as the new shipping strategy will be determined by the end of next year, Al-Fajan told the "Flight Global" website.

As a result of Kuwait International Airport having an air cargo city, the company has an infrastructure for freight operations.

Nevertheless, the administration needs to build a management and sales structure to develop it, especially since the Middle East relies heavily on imports.

With Chinese activity supporting Kuwaiti government infrastructure projects, Al-Fajan highlighted the importance of air freight.
