Iran Granted 100,000 Visas To Kuwaitis
The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the State of Kuwait Muhammad Toutounchi affirmed that the issuance of 100,000 visas to Kuwaiti citizens to visit Iran for tourism and medical treatment is evidence of authentic ties between the two countries. He said this during the celebration of the Iranian National Day the day before yesterday evening in the presence of the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Ambassador Samih Hayat and a group of ambassadors and diplomats in Salwa Hall. The ambassador said, “With the passage of 62 years of diplomatic relations between Iran and Kuwait, there are balanced relations between the two countries.
Today we are in the process of investing in current experiences to create relations that are moving for the better. “We are also happy that this matter is of interest to His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the honorable Amir of the State of Kuwait. “We pray for success in the government of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah. We hope that we will witness practical initiatives from both sides at this stage to strengthen bilateral relations. “The Islamic Republic of Iran, with its realistic view of the political geography of the region, sought to establish balanced relations with neighboring countries and relied on reconciliation and religious and popular commonalities that trump points of difference to strengthen and consolidate these relations. “In this context, we find that our relations with Kuwait transcend official relations due to the relations of kinship and intermarriage between the two peoples and the historical process of commercial communication, which has changed into deep and rooted relations.” Ambassador Toutounchi stressed that the Zionist aggression in Gaza and the killing of hundreds of Palestinian people are considered war crimes that occur in the face of silence and even support by major countries, adding, “After the global popular sympathy that we have witnessed in the world, there must be international solidarity to stop these massacres.”
