Increasing Cases Of Covid-19 Death; Crucial Health Committee Meeting Today

As the number of death and number of cases in ICU increases, a crucial meeting of the Health Committee will be held on Sunday to decide the next course of action.

The Health Committee will take what preserves the safety of everyone and will submit its recommendations to the Council of Ministers, in preparation for taking appropriate health decisions at its next session tomorrow (Monday) or next Thursday, sources informed.

While the Minister of Health Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, denied the rumours that were circulating yesterday about the recommendation to return to the partial curfew, sources indicated that an appropriate decision would be taken based on various indicators and reports.

With a total death of 655 and 139 active cases in the ICU, Kuwait witnessed a 11% increase in the death rate in the past few days.

The Ministry of Health has accelerated the pace to launch a preventive vaccination campaign for seasonal influenza and pneumonia during the current week or next week at the latest. The vaccines work to strengthen the immune system.
