In 90 Days, 10 Billion Dinars Were Spent

Citizen and resident spending in the first 90 days of 2022 was around 10 billion dinars, according to official data. According to data provided by the Central Bank of Kuwait, citizens and residents in Kuwait increased expenditures by 31% over the same period in 2021, spending 9.9 billion dinars by the end of March 2022, an increase of 2.3 billion dinars over 7.58 billion dinars.

Citizen and resident spending outside of Kuwait has increased by 90% over the period from January to the end of last March, with spending increasing by 225.3 million dinars to 477 million dinars compared to 251.7 million dinars during the same period last year. At March 2022, the value of spending by Kuwaiti nationals and residents is expected to be about 9.4 billion dinars, which is a 28.6 percent increase compared to 8.35 billion dinars at the end of the same period in 2021, reports a local Arabic media.
