Immigration Offices To Reopen To Deal With Special Cases

The immigration offices will reopen after suspension due to the start of a curfew to handle cases of expats who were unable to renew their residency visas or were prevented from renewing their residency visas because of security restrictions. The cases will be examined, and those expats will be obliged to pay fines till the start of suspension date was announced, after which they will be exempted from payment of fines, Al Rai reported.

Expats whose visits or residency visas have ended and are finding it difficult to give their fingerprints for the procedures can avail of an extension till August 31.
Earlier, the ministry allowed the online renewal of all kinds of visit visas for 1 KD per month for specific days, but this service was stopped and replaced with automatic renewal for three months from 31st May 2020 till 31st August, 2020. In addition, visas expiring within this period will be automatically renewed till 31st Aug 2020.
