Huge Fines If We Give Shelter To Illegals
“All problems related to absconding reports will soon end”, reports Al-Anba daily quoting Acting Director of General Residency Department Brigadier Abdullah Al-Hajri as saying. He indicated that a new process in this regard will be introduced, adding that Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah as well as Manpower Public Authority support the implementation of this process.
Regarding the situation of Syrian residents in the country, Brigadier Al-Hajri explained that violators of residence law among them will be granted temporary residence for longer periods. However, penalty will be imposed on those who harbor violators of residence law.
He indicated that a new law will be passed shortly to punish those who harbor violators of law by imposing fines worth KD 1,000, which will be doubled in case of repetition of the act.
