Holding Senior Appointments Until Further Notice

Following the government's resignation last week, the selections of CEOs of oil companies and the establishment of boards of directors have been postponed until further notice, according to an official oil source.

The KPC board of directors has ruled out appointing senior leaders in the oil sector during this difficult political period in the country, according to the source, who added that this will give the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation more time to look for potential senior officers and members of the boards of directors after the new government is formed.

The KPC and its subsidiaries, on the other hand, will halt promotions and appointments, according to the source.
