Hajj Registration Via The Awqaf Platform Will Cost 40% Less
Al-Qabas daily quoting well-informed government sources reports that the Council of Ministers is constantly seeking to facilitate citizens wishing to perform Hajj this year by adopting a mechanism that would ensure services are provided at lower prices at a reduced price of about 40 percent. It is expected that the government's central registration mechanism, through a platform supervised by the Ministry of Awqaf, will be approved soon.
According to sources, the Awqaf will again contact the Saudi authorities to allow Bedouns to perform Umrah and Hajj under agreed-upon conditions this year. According to it, Abdulaziz Al-Majed, Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf, recommended that the Hajj administration hand over a comprehensive memo detailing the most important mechanisms for reducing prices, while providing integrated services to citizens and ensuring that everyone can register via the platform in order to perform the ritual.
The sources pointed out that the central registration platform will ensure that those wishing to perform Hajj can easily see the prices and caravans, in order to choose what is suitable to them before registering. In the event that registration through the platform is approved, Awqaf will allow 250 to 300 pilgrims to register with each caravan. The sources added that if the registration platform is approved, mergers will not be allowed, and caravans will not be assigned equal numbers.
