Government Of India Has Banned The Use Of Thuraya Phones

The Government of India has banned the use of Thuraya phones in the country. All State Police Agencies have been asked to seize Thuraya/Iridium sets in India and take action as per provisions of the law. 

This was announced by Indian Embassy in Kuwait in a press advisory for the benefit of foreigners going to India and asking them not to carry Thuraya/Irridium satellite phones into India.
