Gap Between Two Doses Of Pfizer Vaccine Increased

03 May 2021 Coronavirus

The Ministry of Health decided to extend the interval between the two doses of vaccines. The gap between two doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be increased to six weeks but for those above the age of 60 and those suffering from chronic diseases, the interval would remain 3 weeks. In a press statement issued on Monday, the ministry said this decision comes in light of the global competition to obtain ample quantities of vaccines. This will apply to everyone who will receive the first dose of the (Pfizer/Biontech) vaccine on or after Monday, May 3, 2021.
