Fate Of 4 Thousand Egyptian Students In Kuwait Unknown

Parents called on the Egyptian Ministry to look with compassion on the future of their children.

Because of their social and living conditions during the Coronavirus crisis, some members of the Egyptian community decided to transfer their children from Kuwaiti private schools to the Egyptian curriculum that is supervised by the Egyptian embassy in Kuwait.

However, they clashed with the procedures of the Ministry of Education in Egypt. The transfer of about 4 thousand students who have become without schools in the current academic year is still in consideration and their fate has become unknown.

Some students’ families said that the transfer of their children is due to their desire to leave Kuwait, and their children’s commitment to the Egyptian curriculum, in addition to reducing education expenses in private schools in Kuwait, as most of them suffer from major financial problems due to the repercussions of this crisis, Al-Rai reported.
